Online Support Engineer
RemoteShifts, an Australian-based IT outsourcing company, is hiring an experienced Online Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshoot customer issues, manage online support requests, and deliver excellent customer service in a fully remote role.
About the Role
RemoteShifts is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Online Support Engineer to join our remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing online technical support, troubleshooting customer issues, resolving software and system-related problems, and ensuring a smooth customer experience.
The role involves handling support requests through chat, email, ticketing systems, and other online channels. You will diagnose technical issues, guide customers through solutions, document support cases, and escalate complex problems when required.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical troubleshooting skills, good communication abilities, and the confidence to assist customers professionally in a remote environment.
Requirements
Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply; relevant IT education or technical knowledge is a plus.
Previous experience in IT support, technical support, online support, or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of computers, software, operating systems, and networking.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good English communication and customer service skills.
Ability to explain technical solutions clearly and professionally.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, CRM tools, or remote support software is a plus.
